Zara, one of India’s biggest online retailers, has added more than 20 million Indian shoppers to its online shopping service.
The company has added 7 million Indian customers online through its online store.
The online shopping giant’s online stores are now one of the biggest in the world, according to an estimate by online shopping platform iMarketer.
Zara says it has over 20 million customers in India.
Zara India chief executive officer Pranesh Mahadik said in a statement: “Over the past few months, we have made significant progress with our efforts to drive growth in the Indian market.
We are now committed to adding over 20,000 new customers to our online shopping ecosystem, which will support a broader ecosystem of online retailers across the country.”
The company’s online store is also the largest in India with more than 15 million customers.
Mahadika said the online shopping app will also be the platform for Zara’s future growth.
“We are thrilled to announce that we have acquired Zara India for an undisclosed sum,” Mahadike said.
“This will provide Zara with access to its growing online retail platform and enhance our global reach.
Zattara has been a pioneer in the online retail space, which is one of our main strengths.
It is a great place to invest and grow our business.”
According to Mahadikes company, Zara has added over 20m customers online.
Mahads team said that online shopping will continue to be an important part of Zaras business model as the company will continue providing its users with a range of services, including online shopping services, payments and gift cards.
Mahades team added that it would continue to expand its presence in India, including through its Zattarari portal.
